When you are considering moving to Harmony Residential Care, our process starts with a phone interview. Our primary goal is making sure we are a good fit for you. During the phone call, we will ask diagnostic questions to help us figure out your physical capabilities (and any mobility issues you may have), what you like to do in social situations, and what your personality is like. Once we determine that “yes,” this is a good fit, we invite you and/or your caretaker to come in for a tour. If we think there may be a better fit for you given your wants and needs, we will give you recommendations and help you find the right facility.
Our primary goal is making sure we are a good fit for you.
During the tour, you’ll have a chance to see our available room selections, determine if you prefer a private or semi-private room, meet residents, check out our menu, and just see what you think. If you would prefer a private room, and we only have semi-private rooms available, you have the choice of putting your name on a waiting list, or moving into a semi-private room until a private room is available. We will also have you fill out a questionnaire to help us learn what your life is like now so that we can replicate it when you move in. The more details you or your family can provide, the better.
We Develop A Care Plan
We then take those details and go over it with our caretakers. We let them know your daily patterns, what you used to do in the past for hobbies or for work, and your education level. We also learn your likes and dislikes. These all help us develop a care plan that helps us interact with you in a way that you are most comfortable with.
When it’s time for you to move in, we can adjust our nutritionist-approved meal plans if there’s something you like or don’t like. We will have your favorite foods, such as cookies or drinks, here waiting for you. The entire process is designed to make the transition as smooth as possible for you. We want your life to continue just as it did at home.
